    JCPenney Museum
    The JCPenney Museum offers visitors an insider's look into the history of the major department store and is situated in the national headquarters. Historical records and artifacts are on display, including photos, company newspapers and catalogues. The Museum features a recreated first store that James Cash Penney opened in Kennemere, WY. in 1902 called the Golden Rule Store.

    The Heritage Farmstead Museum offers a four acre complex with row crops, gardens, a windmill and a completely restored 1891 Victorian farmhouse with twelve original outbuildings.

    The Interurban Museum

    The Interurban Museum is located in a building that served as a station on the Texas Electric Railway, which linked Denison and Dallas from 1908 to 1948. As the only station remaining on this line, the building is a historic site. A museum exhibit inside presents a history of the Interurban Line and Plano. Admission to the Interurban Museum is free.
